Access for our Disabled Guests
We are here to help!
We encourage disabled guests to contact Guest Services with questions, additional assistance requests or assistance in planning your visit. Guest Services may be contacted by phone at 303-650-7522, by e-mail or stop by during your visit (we're located in the entry plaza). We're here to help!
Parking and Admission:
We offer ample parking spaces for our disabled guests. Disabled parking is located in the main parking lot, along the pedestrian walkway with ramped access to our ticket windows and turnstiles. Once inside the entry plaza, disabled guests are invited to purchase tickets at Guest Services and enter through our designated disabled entry area. Please visit Guest Services for question about disabled admission pricing. Once through the turnstile area, keep left for ramped access to lockers and the park hub.
Restrooms:
Fully accessible restrooms are located at the Captain Jack's wave pool first aid (east side), RingerMaster Desserts (at The Big Top) and at 3 Ring Food and Drink (at The Big Top). We offer private, family style facilities (restrooms, changing areas and showers) at Captain Jack's and The Big Top. All park restrooms offer disabled toilet stalls.
Communication:
We offer a TDD communication device in Guest Services.
Picnic Pavilions:
Many of our covered pavilions are equipped with wheelchair accessible tables. South Bayview, Dock of the Bay, and Surfside Shelters have no steps in or out. All tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Our Grand Pavilion (reserved many days for private events) offers disabled-accessible restrooms and tables. Ramped entry for this pavilion is from the "Lost River of the Pharaohs" splashdown area.
Attractions:
Many of our attractions are ramped from the tube pick-up area (at the bottom) to the attraction entrance (at the top). Most attractions require at least one step down into the ride entry. All attractions (except Captain Jack's Wave Pool and Wally World) require transfer from wheelchair to ride tube. For guests who are mobility impaired and use a wheelchair, we are pleased to offer assistance in transporting the empty wheelchair from the top of the attraction to the bottom (advanced notice to Guest Services is strongly recommended). Please contact Guest Services for additional information regarding specific attraction accessibility. Due to the unique design of our attractions, we cannot offer a front-of-line pass. We do offer a Tube Valet service which offers Top-of-Ride access and minimal tube carrying on Lost River of the Pharaoh's, Storm and Voyage to the Center of the Earth. Please check with Guest Services for pricing and availability.
Food Service Stands:
Many of Water World's food stands are fully accessible. For those that are not, please contact the cashier outside the stand who will be happy to assist you.
Wheelchairs:
A limited number of wheelchairs are available for use during your visit by contacting Guest Services. Reservations are recommended. Wheelchairs require a $50 refundable deposit (cash or credit card) and valid ID. Wheelchair pick-up and drop-off is located at Guest Services. All wheelchairs are rated for guests under 250 pounds in weight.
