What are “Decade Days”?

Due to our main local school district extending the school year, we will operate with our special “Decade Days” programming. It’s still a great time to visit!  

We will be running with limited attractions available from 2 pm-7 pm. Attraction areas include Thunder Bay, Wild Isle, and Alpine Springs. Please enjoy our themed decade days including the ’70s, ‘80s, and ’90s, with themed candy available at the Thunder Bay tube exchange (first come first serve), themed food and drink options, and special character appearances from 6 pm- 7 pm at Thunder Bay.   

A limited number of tickets are available each day, get them while you can!  

**Looking to join us June 17th or June 18th?

There will be a private event in our North Shore area. The surrounding area including: Turf, Shelters, Cabanas, Bungalows, Shaka Shacks, Cowabunga Beach, and Turtle Bay are only open for our private event guests on both days. All other attractions and areas will be available for all guests!

What are “Back to Pool Days”?

Due to our main local school districts returning to class (and one returning earlier than normal), we will operate with our special “Back to Pool Days” programming!  It’s still a great time to visit! A limited number of tickets are available each day, get them while you can! 

Updates on Back to Pool Days will be available in July!

Are there days when Water World will not open due to weather?

Yes. Because we are an outdoor park with all water attractions, there are days we might not be able to open for guest comfort or safety. We look at temperatures at park opening as well as forecasted high temperatures (we also take into account cloud cover, wind and precipitation on these cool days). We typically make these decisions by 9 am and we suggest you check out our website or call us for updates on questionable weather days.

What happens if it rains during my visit to the park?

We will close our attractions when unsafe conditions are present (as determined by Management in conjunction with our weather service). In the event of a weather interruption, we will attempt to re-open when weather conditions in our immediate area are safe to do so (we cannot guarantee ideal weather conditions).

If the attractions are closed for more than 60 minutes due to unsafe weather conditions, guests on property will receive a full day or mid-day raincheck ticket (depending on the time of weather closure) for a return visit for either the 2024 or 2025 season,  If you receive a mid-day ticket, it is valid for admission beginning at or after 1:45pm.

No refunds are issued regardless of time spent in the park.  There are no refunds or rain checks on incidental expenses (such as Personal Tube Rental, Tube Valet, etc).

If issued, rainchecks will be given at the Ticket Services Booths.  Each guest must present their paper,  print at home or show on phone ticket or birthday wristband ticket to receive a raincheck.  If you are a cabana guest, your cabana host will raincheck in-cabana for you, up to the cabana maximum capacity.   Certain tickets, such as Tots and any ticket marked “no raincheck issued on this ticket” are not valid for rainchecks.

I received a mid-day raincheck during a previous visit, can I upgrade it to a full-day ticket?

If you received a mid-day raincheck during a previous season visit, you may visit again for free beginning at scheduled mid-day admission.  If you wish to upgrade the mid-day raincheck to a full-day ticket, the current rate to do so this season (2024) is $25.99 + tax by visiting our Ticketing Services booths.
