Weather looks good for Water World to open for the Season on Saturday Great Memorial Weekend Visuals!

WHAT: The weather looks like it will cooperate this year as community-owned Hyland Hills Water World opens for the 40th season this weekend. The park continues to be named Top Ten USA Today’s Best Waterparks, offering more than 51 attractions on a beautiful 70-acre site. Winter-tired guests will be seen soaking up some rays on the Lazy River or speeding down one of the many world-class water slide attractions. Active families (large and small) will enjoy the Mile High Flyer water coaster, wave pool pandemonium at Thunder Bay, speed down an aqua racing zone attraction, and “ooh and aww” at the site of first dips for little ones and toddlers enjoying the Big Top circus attraction. And, of course, there will be SURFERS, taking the waves on boogie boards at Cowabunga Beach…just to name a few of the beach-fun offerings for land-locked Coloradoans! Oh, did we forget FUNNEL CAKES, you can bet we will have those available as well.

WHEN: Memorial Day Weekend: May 25th – 26th ….and maybe Monday the 27th? Gates open at 10 a.m. The park remains open until 6 p.m., weather permitting. Parking is free and picnics are welcome.

WHERE: Hyland Hills Water World. West of I-25 at 88th and Pecos in Federal Heights, just ten minutes from downtown Denver.

NOTE: The special “iron gate opening” festivities normally held on opening day are being postponed until our August 4th BIRTHDAY PARTY day! Season-long surprise pop-up birthday parties for guests and prize giveaways are also planned at the park.
