MAY IS NATIONAL WATER SAFETY MONTH

Water World, Colorado’s Water Safety Month State Sponsor Encourages All Families to Prepare for Water Activities

WHO: Hyland Hills Water World, the nation’s largest family water park located right here in Colorado, wants to remind everyone that it is time to think safety as we go into the summer swimming season!

WHAT: May is National Water Safety Month. With summer fast approaching, it is time to communicate water safety rules to families and individuals of all ages. Whether family summer planning includes water fun at public or private pools, our state’s beautiful lakes and rivers, or for those planning to visit beaches this summer, NOW is the time to find swim lesson programs in your neighborhoods, and to have important conversations about water safety.
At Water World, we have hired hundreds of lifeguards to be vigilant over our 50 attractions, but that is not always the case in remote or private locations all around the state where people find water.

WHY: The best things anyone can do to stay safer in and around water are: learn to swim, adhere to all safety rules around water, and never-ever swim alone. These rules pertain to both adults and children.

WHEN: The entire month of May.

We are proud to SHARE MORE WATER SAFETY TIPS from our friends at the World Waterpark Association:
